Model 506V DAC

Overview

The Programmable Analog Synchronizer  (PAS) consists of a 3.5 rack mount chassis containing an embedded processor card and slots for one 520V PAS card and one optional 506V DAC card. Setup information is input via an RS-232 port or manually from the front panel keypad. Programs can also be saved in non-volatile memory and recalled from the front panel. The front panel has an electro-luminescent display which, when not being used for setup is a status display of the input data rate and frame length. All IRIG STD 106-86 codes are supported. All Acroamatics documentation is supplied on CD-ROM.

Features

IRIG STANDARD DATA FORMATS

PAM-RZ: 10 to 125k channels per second.

Input Configuration

Microprocessor controlled automatic input ranging normalizes the input within two frames, allowing adjustment-free operation with input signals of 1 to 20 Volts peak to peak. Programmable resynchronization delay holds input values for up to 10 seconds when sync is lost.

SYNCHRONIZATION

PAM NRZ

Programmable pattern and tolerance for 3 to 5 consecutive channels, user selectable

PAM RZ

One missing channel

PDM

One channel missing high or one missing low

Sync Strategy

Programmable sync strategy allows user to specify transitions from Search to Check to Lock and back
